Joanie and the Whale

Description:  An original set of two mix media, comprised mostly of acrylic ink, on canvas.  The vibrant backdrop portraying a young girl riding a whale, is a twist on the original story of "Jonah and the Whale."  The two warm and bright images are combined to convey how far your imagination can reach without confining it to a traditional border.  Dreams and imagination, by definition, should not be confined or limited to traditional concepts and boundaries.  This piece was donated to charity to raise money for Rock Creek Forest Elementary School.
